Governor's Order Limiting Capacity to 25% Currently Blocked
Update: October 24, 2020
The state emergency order that limited capacity in public spaces to 25% was blocked again on Friday by a state appeals court ruling. This leaves Wisconsin without any statewide restrictions on public interaction or gathering sizes until the appeal is heard.
The original order that limited the number of customers in bars and restaurants to 25% of official capacity expires during the first week of November. The governor has not said whether he will extend the limits.
Any limits in place prior to this order should be how restaurants should operate. The WRA encourages restaurants to continue to follow the recommendations set forth by the WEDC and FDA, which can be found on our best practices for restaurants page on our WRA Website.
Also keep in mind, the statewide mask mandate is still in effect until November 21, 2020.
