chef_mask_1708621240Citing a rise in COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin, Governor Tony Evers issued a new public health emergency and an indoor mask mandate on July 30, 2020.

The mandate is effective August 1st at 12:01 am. The mask order was issued under a new public health emergency for 60 days.

Those ages 5 and older are required to wear a face covering when they are inside a building or an enclosed space, other than a private residence, and around those who aren’t members of their household.

His executive order also strongly recommends face coverings in other settings, including outdoors, when it isn’t possible to maintain social distancing.

The mask order comes with some exceptions such as while eating or drinking.

While there will most likely be debate regarding the enforcement of this order, WRA recommends that restaurants comply with this mandate to avoid any liability or penalties. WRA will keep members alerted of any challenges or changes to the order.
