Steve Schilling to Serve as Chairman of
Wisconsin Restaurant Association
Steve Schilling has been elected to serve as Chairman of the board of the Wisconsin Restaurant Association for 2015.
The Wisconsin Restaurant Association is one of the largest trade associations in Wisconsin with over 7,000 members. WRA represents the entire foodservice industry in Wisconsin which includes over 16,000 licensed food establishments. As chairman, Schilling is the key leader and will set the direction and purpose for the Association during his one-year term.
Schilling has been a restaurateur for 55 years and has served on the WRA board of directors for over 13 years including 2 years as chairman of the board of the Wisconsin Restaurant Association Education Foundation. Like many in the business, Schilling began working in the industry as a dishwasher when he was a teenager. He worked his way up through the ranks of the Marcus Corporation over 35 years - from dishwasher to General Manager and Vice President of the company’s Marc’s Big Boy Family Restaurant Division. After his career with Marcus, he helped found the chain of Annie’s American Cafes. He currently owns and operates ZaZING! in North Prairie.
