What’s HOT for 2016?
The National Restaurant Association surveyed chefs to bring you the TOP 20 food trends to hit 2016.

The National Restaurant Association has just released its annual What’s Hot culinary forecast for 2016. Nearly 1,300 professional chefs were surveyed to identify the latest and greatest in food and menu trends for the coming year. Insects are yesterday’s news and everything local continues to top the charts.

  • 80% of chefs cited locally sourced meats and seafood as a top trend
  • 77% locally grown produce
  • 77% hyper-local sourcing
  • 77% locally produced beer/wine/spirits
  • 78% chef-driven fast-casual culinary concepts
