Menu Labeling Regulation has moved to the last step in review process
Menu labeling regulation has finally moved to the next and last step in the review process. It was announced on April 2, 2014 that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has started its review. This process is expected to take between one and two months. At that point, the final regulation will be published and become public.
REMINDER: The law does NOT become effective once the final regulation is published. Operators will have at least 6 months (FDA proposed) to a year (National Restaurant Association requested) to implement the law once the final regulation is published.
More details on exact timing will surface as the date the final regulation is published approaches. As soon as more information is available, WRA will share that information with you.
